Deuba to be sworn in as PM today at 6 p.m.
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has been appointed as the Prime Minister. President Bidyadevi Bhandari has appointed Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba as the Prime Minister.
Deuba is scheduled to take oath of office and secrecy at 6 pm today.
On May 22, President Bidyadevi Bhandari had rejected the claims of Prime Minister Oli and Deuba who had submitted their demands for the post of Prime Minister in accordance with Article 76, Sub-Article 5 of the Constitution.
On the same night, the President dissolved the House of Representatives on the recommendation of the Prime Minister.
This is Deuba’s fifth term as prime minister. He has previously served as Prime Minister in 2052, 2058, 2061 and 2074 BS.
