Agreement between Rastriya Banijya Bank and UNDP Nepal regarding payment

Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Nepal reached an agreement on Friday to pay money to marginalized households under the Prayas program. The agreement has been signed by Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and Isani Medagangoda Lawe, Resident Representative of UNDP Nepal.

After the agreement, the bank will pay the amount provided by UNDP to the marginalized households identified under UNDP’s effort program through bank account.

Speaking on the occasion, Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, said that the bank could provide concessional loans to the needy entrepreneurs who want to become entrepreneurs from among the households receiving assistance from this program. UNDP Nepal’s Resident Representative Isani Medagangoda Lave visited Bajura, Kailali, Siraha and Saptah for the first time.

Rastriya Banijya Bank Deputy Deputy Executive Officer Devesh Prasad Lohani, department heads, company secretary, UNDP Nepal Assistant Resident Representative Balram Poudel, Advisor Binda Magar and others were present on the occasion. The program was conducted by Saroj Basnet, Chief of Branch Operations Department.
