Another record in the stock market: 19.55 billion shares traded

The market closed at 2,944.78 points, down 1.80 points from last Thursday, and reached 2,983.11 points on Sunday. On the first trading day of the year, the Nepse index has risen by 38.32 points and reached an all-time high.

A total of 182,430 shares of 220 companies were traded on the day. Shares worth Rs 19.55 billion have been bought and sold during the day. This amount is the highest ever traded in a single day. Earlier, there was a record of 13.27 billion shares traded on Sunday.

The old record of Rs 2.28 billion has been broken in a single week. Investors of development banks, finance companies and hydropower companies have earned a lot of money on this day. Collectively, banking increased by 8 points, hotels and tourism by 167 points, development banks by 388 points, hydropower by 186 points, finance by 173 points and manufacturing by 60 points.
