An unidentified group has written an email to Kumari Bank warning to hack the system. Last July, the bank was warned to hack the system by writing an email.
Kumari Bank has already informed NRB after receiving the hacking email. NRB has also asked the banks and financial institutions under it to be vigilant. An email has been sent from Saudi Group of Companies. According to the source, it has been mentioned in the email that the money will be taken by hacking the system.
NRB Deputy Governor Bam Bahadur Mishra said that high vigilance has been adopted after receiving emails hacking the system. He said there had been no ‘attack’ on the banking system so far.
“We have also looked at the Nation Bank system. We have also asked the banks to look into it, “he said.” So far no problem has been seen.
After the NRB sent a message to the president of the Bankers ‘Association that the system could be hacked, the president of the Bankers’ Association Anil Upadhyaya has asked all the bankers to be aware through Viber Group. Development banks and finance companies have also been placed on alert.
The incident has not been reported to the police yet. Last July, the hacker had sent an email to Nepali Bank to hack the account. But nothing bad happened to the system, as the hackers claimed.
