Popular rapper Ashish Rana alias Laure has been arrested from Pokhara with drugs. He was arrested from a house in New Road. Police raided the house after receiving information that he was using brown sugar.
Kaski police chief SP Ramesh Thapa said that four persons were arrested along with Laure. Brown sugar and other drugs were reportedly recovered from them.
Laure is popular among the younger generation. “The police were on duty. We found out that the transaction was being done for the purpose of consumption, ‘he said, adding that the arrest was made on the basis of the same information. An investigation is under way, but he was initially found guilty.
Laure is currently in the custody of Kaski police. Police said that the case could not be taken forward as the court was closed on Thursday. Kaski police said that they would start investigation into the drug case on Friday.
