The month-long Shree Swasthani Brata Katha festival devoted to goddess Shree Swasthani, concluded today .
The holy fair attracts thousands of devotees every year at the banks of Sali River in Sankhu, a traditionally rich Newar village 12 kms east of Kathmandu.
Hindu women observed the last day by worshipping goddess Shree Swasthani and bathing in rivers. Married women observe a fast to pray for the prosperous life of their husbands, while unmarried ones fast to get a good husband.
